Can you hear his face?

This program has been specifically developed with the unique needs of Law enforcement in mind.

Crisis negotiations are a special field of expertise with very specific limitations when it comes to communication.  The Art of Visual Listening was developed with these limitations in mind.

  • The negotiator rarely sees the other party during negotiations.

  • Knowledge is power.  The more you know about the other party the more control you have in the outcome.

  • These techniques are NOT just for your professional life. You will use them every day!

If the answer is a hesitation at best you should contact Rik D. Middleton and schedule him to speak at your next training event.

Imagine what's happening?

All of the high tech gear in the world isn't worth a darn if you can't see what they are saying.  The Art of Visual Listening was designed to train law enforcement crisis negotiations to overcome these limitations. The human mind was designed to collect and store images from our lives.  We build a database of impressions from all previous interactions.

The Art of Visual Listening unlocks this data base and releases your natural ability to see and interpret sounds.  To true what you hear into a visual image of the other person you are communicating with.

Conference Presentation and Expert Training!

This is NOT your ordinary training session.  Rik provides both a breakout and workshop level of training which incorporate hands-on exercises.  These exercises help to kinesthetically reinforce the lecture portion of the training.

The presentations are informative, entertaining, and interactive.  There are several activities that Rik has developed specifically to enhance your understanding and enable the material to come alive.  Rik's belief is that if you cannot relate the material to your daily lives you won't use it.

What will you walk away with?

  • A better knowledge of how human communication has evolved.

  • How human evolution has lead to such a complex communication system.

  • How to recognize the hidden nuances in everyday communications.

  • A better appreciation of who you're taking to and how to identify with what they are "Really" saying.

  • How to better appreciate our multi-generations communication needs and styles.

  • Develop an awareness of the dynamics of inter-gender communication?

Here's what your other officers are saying about
